Segnieur Serif Display

Description

Segnieur Serif Display is an elegant family of serif fonts engineered for large-sized text. The fonts’ letterforms feature very high stroke contrast. That stroke contrast revolves around a diagonal axis, resulting in seriffed letters whose downstrokes are heavy while the upstrokes are thin. This difference is already visible in the family’s lightest weight. As the family gets heavier, the thick strokes become heavier, and the stroke contrast becomes even more severe. Segnieur Serif Display is well suited for use in newspaper headlines—online or in print—as well as in other areas of editorial design. At its heaviest weights, Segnieur Serif Display is also useful for large text in packaging design projects and in logo design. Segnieur Serif Display has a tall x-height, and the tops of its lowercase letters’ ascenders rise higher than the height of the capital letters and numerals.
